I just bought a Google Nest Hub Max for my grandmother who is living in a nursing home.
When I configured the device at home, everything worked fine. However, when connected to the Nursing home wifi network, Google duo calls failed with no explanation, and spotify didn't work too. However, we could play a TV show on netflix on the Nest Hub.
A phone connected to the same (nursing home) wifi network (and with no SIM card inserted) could make duo calls though (from the same duo account).
Resetting the nest hub to factory settings didn't help.
My first guess would be that the Nest hub apps (at least Duo and Spotify) might use specific TCP/UDP ports that would be blocked on the nursing home wifi. But Duo calls from a phone on the same network work fine, so I really don't know what happen.
Do you have any ideas? I have to send back the device for refund in max. 10 days if I can't make it to work (at least, Duo calls) from the nursing home wifi.
Thanks in advance,
