Google mini x 3 not responding

Hi all,

I have three google mini's setup in three separate rooms throughout the house and up until recently were working fine.  Now when I say "hey google" the four lights remain lit and about 20-30 seconds later I recieve the "hmm something went wrong,  try again later" message.  One device is about 2m from the Access Point and the others are 3 and 5m respectively. I have removed the devices and re added as well as power down to no avail. Any help will be appreciated.  FIRMWARE BELOW

@Geek1

If three different Google Nest devices all start to have symptoms that occur when they can't reach the Google Nest servers, it's probably worth checking whether anything at all has changed on your Wi-Fi network or its configuration or settings.

I suppose it's also possible Google Nest's servers are having problems communicating with your locale.

Our Nest Mini is on the same firmware versions as yours.

Did you try a simple reboot of any of your Nest Minis, either from within the Google Home app or by unplugging them for a minute or so?

@MplsCustomer  i have restarted them several times and even unplugged them for 20mins and powered back up without any success. As per my access point they are connected to they are connected to 5ghz on channel 132... Is there anything specific i should be looking for in terms of wifi settings/configuration?

@Geek1

I'm not a Wi-Fi expert; I'm just able to keep ours working.

But it seems that if 3 different Google Nest devices all start having access issues, that it might have to do with Wi-Fi.

@MplsCustomer  i don think the same but cant identify what it could be... I guess I'll keep looking

Hi Geek1,

This is not the experience we want you to have; let us help you. A few questions: which Nest speakers are we working with? Are those Google Home Minis or Nest Minis? When did your issue begin? Were there any recent changes made?

It would help a lot if you could do a sequential reboot first:

  1. Unplug the power cord from your router, followed by your Nest speakers.
  2. Plug them back in after 3 minutes.
  3. Restarting your phone might also help.

If the issue persists, you can revert your speakers to its default settings by doing a factory reset. See this guide: Factory reset Google Nest or Home speakers or displays.

Keep us posted.

Thanks for helping, MplsCustomer!

Best,

Dan

Hi all,

I resolved the issue by disabling IPV6 on my router and associated options.
