How to get google nest to play from google podcast subscriptions?

jamesjames

I have my 'google podcast' app and account linked to my google home and speaker. When I ask google home to "play my podcasts", "play from google podcast" or various iterations, it starts playing a seemingly random podcast, not anything at all from my account. How do i get it to actually play any podcast from my actual podcast subscription or queue?

The only workaround is specifically naming the podcast by name, but then what's the point of a linked google podcast account if it's completely bypassed/ignored?

Hello jamesjames,

Thanks for your post. While it is a great feature to be able to play saved podcasts from your Google Podcast account, it is not currently supported on Google Home/Nest devices. In order to listen to your desired podcast, you will need to provide the specific title name.

We're always looking for ways to improve — we'll take this as feedback. You can also send feedback using your device by saying, "Hey Google, send feedback." Visit this link for more steps.

Let me know if you have additional questions or concerns about your device, otherwise, I'll lock the thread after 24 hours.

Cheers,

Muddi
