Nest audio Bluetooth keeps dropping

Brand new Nest Audio.  From minute one the BT connection will not stay active.  Sometimes it lasts an hour, sometimes 10 minutes.  Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra streaming audio to the speaker.  Have tried.repairing, have rebooted the speaker numerous times, have rebooted device.  Keeps happening.  Turned Group Delay Correction to 0ms as suggested by another site.  Made sure there are no settings limiting BT connection on my phone.

I've turned on the BT snoop log to see if anything registers.

Yet another Nest product with issues.

Hi @Caoimhin,

I understand your frustration with the Bluetooth connection dropping on your brand new Nest Audio. It can be quite annoying to have a new device not working properly. Here are some additional steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue:

Further Checks and Potential Solutions:

  • Check for Software Updates: Make sure both your Nest Audio and your Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra have the latest software updates installed. Outdated software can sometimes cause connectivity issues.

  • Disable Other Bluetooth Devices: While your phone's Bluetooth settings might not be limiting connections, try temporarily disabling any other Bluetooth devices you might have connected to your phone. This can help isolate if any interference is causing the issue.

  • Router Interference: In some cases, Wi-Fi router interference can affect Bluetooth connections. Try moving your Nest Audio further away from your router or vice versa to see if it makes a difference.

  • Factory Reset (last resort): If the above steps don't work, consider resetting your Nest Audio to factory settings. This can sometimes clear up software glitches.

It's good to see you've already tried some solutions suggested online, like disabling Group Delay Correction. Hopefully, the additional steps above will help resolve the issue. If none of them work don't hesitate and contact our technical support could be the best solution.

Best Regards,

Brandon.

  • Everything is up to date.
  • Ruled out router interference.  Not an issue
  • BT interference?  I don't have this issue with any non-nest speaker.
  • Factory reset was done after the problem first started.

Just like the nest hub pro issues (which still haven't been solved), once again it is every other device's problem, not the garbage technology you sold me.  Typical.
