Nest hub can't add to my shopping list when i speak my native language

Hello.

I've got several nest devices and one nest hub witch all worked like a charm up untill recently, when I had som network trouble and had to reset my home network. Since this was done I also had to setup all nest devices again with my newly configured network. While the setup worked like a charm my nest hub (and only my nest hub) lost the ability to add stuff to my shopping list when speaking my nativ language (Norwegian). All other nest devises still can do this, but the hub responds with (in Norwegian) "I'm sorry, I don't know how to help you with that".

All commands works like I'd excpet if I speak english, both on the hub and all other nest devices (and phone).

If I ask the hub to show me my shoppinglist (but in Norwegian) it will respond with how to create one and send me a notification in the home app to open the shoppinglist.google.com url. If I do open it, I'll see my shoppinglists as expected. I've also treid creating a new list, but it will still say the same thing. Any other command but the shoppinglist commands works correctly in both norwegian and english. Also all other nest products in my home and my phone can add things to my shoppinglist without any problem both when I talk norwegian and english (and they will add to the same list for both languages).

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Hi minde281,

This is not the experience we want you to have; let me help you. A few questions: which Nest speakers are we working with? Is it a Nest Hub or a Nest Hub (2nd Gen)? When did your issue begin? Were there any recent changes made?

It would help a lot if you could do a sequential reboot first:

  1. Unplug the power cord of your router, followed by your Nest speakers.
  2. Plug them back in after 3 minutes.
  3. Restarting your phone might also help.

Also, we can isolate your concern if this is about the language settings or purely a device issue by changing or adding your preferred language. Click the link below for other troubleshooting steps:

Let us know how it goes.

Hello again,

I wanted to follow up and see if you are still in need of any help. Have you had the chance to try the suggestion above? If yes, how is it?

Kind regards,

Dan
