 hi there,

trying desperately to set up the Google nest. But running into same problem time after time

I’ve enabled all the right settings, my phone isn’t connected to 5G but still it won’t connect. I also had a similar problem with a robot vacuum but I took it back. Is it my internet provider!?
thanks in advance

Hey Brookietb,

Thanks for posting and I'm sorry for this experience. We'd love to help.

A few questions: is this an initial setup or working previously? Were there any changes in the Wi-Fi network? Is the same issue happening when you use 5 GHz to connect?

Check if your Google Home app's Local Network Access is enabled. Follow this step: open the iPhone's Settings > Tap on Privacy > Local Network > Toggle off then on the Google Home app. Moving your Google Nest display closer to your router before going through the setup process and connecting it to your 5 GHz connection might also help. If the issue persists, check out this support article to see the additional troubleshooting steps.

Let me know if this works.

Best,

Lovely
