Speaker defaults to 10%

We have our nest connected to our google doorbell. Our issue is that the volume reverts to 10% which means we can’t hear the doorbell or Google’s response when we talk to it. 
it doesn’t matter what volume we have it at when playing audio etc it will ultimately revert back to 10%

I have tried trying off and on again with the reset button  but it ends up with the same issue.

Hi Hb2,

 

This is not the experience we want you to have; let me help you. A few questions: which Nest speakers are we working with? When did your issue begin? Were there any recent changes made? When you did the reset, was it the same steps as what you see in this link?

 

It would help a lot if you could do a sequential reboot first: 

 

  1. Unplug the power cord of your router, followed by your Nest speakers.
  2. Plug them back in after 3 minutes.
  3. Restarting your phone might also help.
