Have played Spotify playlists for years using our google-nest devices. Suddenly this week there is no sound on any nest device (audio, mini, nest hub, samsung TV). This while the devices otherwise work fine. Problem solely when playing Spotify on the google nest devices.
We can play and hear spotify fine directly from our phones, no issues. Also can play and hear any other streaming service on our google nest devices (e.g. youtube music, or itunes radio). But if we ask a device "Hey google, play ..." , then the device voice confirms it is playing the song or playlist from Spotify, however no sound. Can even ask to skip songs on a playlist, and then see (or ask google) that the next song is playing. But no sound. Also tried casting via the spotify app on the phone to our google nest devices, but again same problem: no sound.
Have tried several remedies: rebooting all devices, including internet router ; un-linking and re-linking spotify account in Google home app, even factory reset a google audio device. But no luck.
Anyone with a suggested solution? Or should we wait until a google-nest firmware update solves the issue?
