google nest: morning walk reminder for my 91 year old dad

My father is 91 years old and is regressing to his mother language, Hindi.   He cannot seem to understand Google's replies in English unless it is repeated again and slowly.
Question:
Since we are based in Hong Kong, I want to know
1) is Hindi available on Google nest in Hong Kong?  I can choose Hindi as a second language on my google assistant under languages (as Beta option) -- but I cannot find any way to have the automation spoken in Hindi.

eg.  if I wanted to google to say " today you have yoga" -- and I type that in hindi in the google assistant.... but when the google assistant says that phrase out loud, it's non comprehensible. But Google can say those hindi words well, as the same phrase works in Google translate in hindi.  So what do I need to get google assistant to speak it well?   Is there a way to do these announcements in Hindi?
I also tried to program it in as a command to say Hey Google, say in Hindi "good morning" - but when it plays, it says Google cannot send messages yet.

2) How do I get Google to speak in a lower tone voice?  My father's hearing is poor and he cannot hear high pitched female voices.  I have switched the speaker's tone to a male voice - but wanted to know if there was any way of finding deep male voices on Google home.
Many thanks in advance for any advice!

Hi @chefsabrina88,

Thanks for reaching out! I'm happy to assist you with using multiple languages with Google Assistant.

Actually, The Nest Mini can be set in many different languages and for many regions. You can refer to the next article: Languages for Google Assistant. The best option is to set Google Assistant to two languages in both your phone's settings and the app. This can prevent you speak in a lower voice tone.

In this case, I'd recommend following these steps:

  • Add the two languages you want to use to your phone's settings.
  • Uninstall the Google Home app and Install it again.
  • After installing the Google Home app, check if the two languages you added are now available. If the languages aren't available, add them again in both the Google Home app and your phone's settings.

You can find instructions on how to add languages in the Google Assistant support article: Change the language of Google Assistant.

Let me know how it goes.

Best regards,

Jenniffer
