My nest that has worked for years was suddenly disconnected and will not link back to my account. I keep getting the above error message.

Hi BreLenner,

 

Sorry to hear about this situation with your Nest speaker. No worries, help is here! Here you have some troubleshooting steps:

 

  1. On the side of the device, unplug the power cord > wait 10 seconds > plug the power cord back in > wait for the 4 LED lights to light up.
  2. Repeat the first step, 10 more times.
  3. On the last attempt, wait for the device to announce "Welcome to Google Home".
  4. Set up the device in the Google Home app .
