youtube links are no loner playing on google hub

Routines do no longer work. Previously I have had routines set up playing YouTube linked videos. I have tried resetting everything, factory resets of devices and uninstalled/re-installed google home on android phone several times. No change. I have to say I am getting a bit tired of google home and its rather limited functionality (not integrating other google services) as well as google assistants 1 out 2 times correct responses. I thought google assistant learns to understand you better over time. I have the impression it is rather the contrary . I am about to abandon google home as not worth the hastle.

I am also wanting to understand why I can only cast to the main device and not to any connected mini speakers. Only music, no You Tube videos.

Hey folks,

Hello123, we're sorry for the trouble this may have caused you. To check, are you using ready-made or custom routines? If possible, can you send us a screenshot copy of your routines?

EFKitties65, casting videos is only possible if you have a Nest display or Chromecast enabled devices. You can cast your audio to your Nest speaker however, it's only available on Android devices. Check this guide for more information.

Thanks,

Alex
