Can’t sign into google home with account

I received a reminder to switch to Google home from Google wifi.  I never used Google wifi and my email address is not one of the choices to set up google home.

i don’t have google chrome cast but it’s a required field

A Google account (Gmail address) is a requirement for using the Google Home app.
