I just changed internet providers and although I am using the same modem and wifi network and password, I cannot cast to my tv. I restarted the device as well. Laptop, phone and chromecast are all connected to the same wifi network. Can see chromecast photos on tv but when I go to any cast-enabled app, it says no devices found.

Hello Megraj,
Thanks for reaching out and for being a step ahead of us. Let's sort this out.
Quick questions: what type of Chromecast device do you have? What's the LED status on your Chromecast?
Give these steps a try:
Let me know how it goes.

Thank you for your support. It turns out that it just won't work on the 5Ghz WIFI network even though this chromecast should work with that. I had to swap networks but it works!

Thank you for helping out on this thread, JenniferV!
Hey there Megraj,
I'm glad to hear you were able to find a workaround! If you have a 3rd generation Chromecast, it is supposed to work on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz network bands. If you like, we can try to troubleshoot to figure out why it won't connect, or if you are happy with it working on 2.4GHz, that's fine too.
I look forward to your response, and if you had any other questions, please let us know!
Best regards,
Jeran

That would be great because otherwise I have to make sure I change the network on every device every time.

Hey there Megraj,
Of course! So, when you're casting, make sure both devices are casting from the same network band, so if you want to cast from the 5GHz Wi-Fi band, have both the phone and the Chromecast on that band. Also, if you are able to enter the network settings, make sure that the 5GHz channel range is set between 36-48, as sometimes routers set those ranges to be much higher, and the Chromecast won't work with those higher ranges.
Let me know if that helps!
Thank you,
Jeran

Having the devices on the same network hasn't worked at all if it is the 5GHz, which is why I had to change it. The channel is at 36 so that isn't the issue either. All I did was change my internet provider- same router, same networks and chromecast is having these problems.

Hey there Megraj,
I'm really sorry about the delayed response on this thread, and thank you for being patient! Just out of curiosity, what model of router did your ISP provide? They may have some settings that could be affecting Chromecast connectivity.
Best regards,
Jeran
