Hi, I’m a bit out of my depth so please be gentle. I cast every day from my iPhone 12, but today it wouldn’t work although I have changed nothing. When I hit the cast button, it sort of flashes but never connects. I’ve turned the tv off and on, restarted the router and restarted my phone and checked my internet speeds (good). This has achieved nothing. I tried reading up on it but got lost after I confirmed I did have “allow local network access” for the streaming service checked. I have asked my adult children who obviously use all this technology in their own homes, but I guess they got busy. So … I’m lost and frustrated and would appreciate any suggestions as to what else to try, especially if you don’t assume I know anything more than I’ve stated above 🙂

I apologize for the late response, thank you for being patient! Were you able to fix that casting issue? If not, I'd be happy to help out, as I know these issues can be tricky to figure out on your own. The first thing I would check is the LED light on the Chromecast device itself. If the Chromecast is encountering an error, it would appear via the LED light. Let me know what the LED light is doing, then we can try some more steps.
