Chrome cast doesn’t work

I have an iPhone and my chrome cast is connected to the home wifi . Same network as my phone us on . In the Google home app my chrome cast appears but it says disconnected device . Won’t **bleep**ing work!!! So annoying .

Thanks for reaching out and I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue with your Chromecast. Let's sort this out.

 

A few questions: what type of Chromecast device do you have? Are you unable to cast a video content from your phone to the TV? What's the LED status on your Chromecast? 

 

Try these steps:

 

  1. Reboot your Chromecast, Wi-Fi router, and iPhone.
  2. Uninstall and reinstall the Google Home app.
  3. Toggle the Wi-Fi off/on on your phone settings.
  4. Use a different mobile device.
  5. Factory reset your Chromecast then, manually connect to the Chromecast SSID. Here's how: go to the phone settings > Open Wi-Fi and connect to the Chromecast SSID (Example: Chromecast1234, Living Room TV, Bedroom TV, etc.) > Go to the Google Home app and try to set it up again.
