I have either a 1st or 2nd gen chrome cast. It has been working fine for the past couple weeks but for the past 2 days I have not been able to connect it to my internet. I have done a factory reset and deleted the device from the google home app and tried to set it up again but nothing is working. I have also tried unplugging it from the wall and the tv and I have tried to unplug my wifi router as-well but nothing seems to be working

I am sorry to hear your Chromecast is having some connection issues! I'd be happy to help you out, since these things can be difficult to troubleshoot on your own. The first thing I would look at is the LED light on the Chromecast device. What color LED light do you see on it?
