So I bought a chromecast new and it's the 3rd generation and it won't connect to my WiFi.
I have factory reset the device, my WiFi, uninstalled the Google home app, restarted my phone and removed all other devices from the Google home app and it still won't connect to the WiFi.
I'm really confused, please I need help

Hi,
I managed to sort the issue by creating a new 2.4ghz channel on my wifi router.
As soon as I did this I had no problem connecting the chromecast.

Hi Kayleighb,
Thanks for reaching out and for being a step ahead of us. Let's sort this out.
A few questions: what's the LED status on your Chromecast (solid or blinking)? Are you getting any messages when connecting your Chromecast to the network? How far is your Chromecast to the Wi-Fi router?
Please make sure that your device is within 15 to 20 feet away from the router. Also, try to manually connect to the Chromecast SSID. Here's how: Go to the phone Settings > Open Wi-Fi and connect to the Chromecast SSID (Example: Chromecast1234, Living Room TV, Bedroom TV, etc.) > Go to the Google Home app and try to set up again.
Let me know how it goes.
Best,
Jennifer
