Chromecast 4.0 keeps disconnecting from wifi

Hi,

 

I got new Chromecast 4.0 as a Christmas gift to my friend and it keeps disconnecting from wifi every couple minutes. 

I thought that was my WiFi fault, but I tried with two different mobile phones hotspots and it kept disconnecting. (And all those internet's never disconnects from other devices)

My WiFi router stands 1 meter from tv, signal strength is excellent. Chromecast is connected to AC on original cord (by I also tried to change it for a new one - didn't help). I also tried to change HDMI slots, Chromecast does not touch TV nor other cords. I have changed my WiFi frequency as recommend on Google sites to 5 GHz and it also didn't help.

I restarted my router couple times, I did restart my Chromecast 4.0 and reset it to fabric settings. Nothing helps. Every 2-5 minutes it disconnects. It shows in right hand corner a little box in which is written something like you lost internet connection. And after 30-60 second it connects back, but it makes it impossible to watch a movie. 

Please 🙏 help me.

Hi @natmioo 

Did you already try updating the Google TV device?
You should be able to do this within the settings menu.

Hi @RXShorty. Thank for you answer. Yes. I did it, but it was up to date. The is no more updates for my device now. And it didn't help.
