I am having the exact same issue as what is described in the link below:
Some PC's are able to cast to device, while others show no device listed when Casting. The PC's that cant cast to the device are able to ping its IP. Traffic to and from the Chromecast is fully allowed in Firewall, so no ports are being blocked, I took one machine having issues and fully removed Anti Virus, but I am still unable to get Chrome to list the device.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi NovaKlone,
Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community. Based on your description, it seems your Chromecast device’s casting feature is working as intended, or else none of your computers can cast. The thread that you shared may be similar but not the exact issue since that was about multiple Chromecast Ultra (analog) connected via Wi-Fi while the computers used for casting were utilizing mixed types of connections (wired and wireless). I just want to understand your setup more. Is it your Chromecast with Google TV that is connected via Ethernet connection? Are you using the Ethernet Adapter for Chromecast with Google TV? The PCs that you’re using for casting—are all of those connected wired? Or is it also mixed (some wired, some via Wi-Fi)? If it’s mixed, are the only ones that can’t seem to cast are connected via wired or also Wi-Fi ones? A simple troubleshooting that users do is rebooting the Chromecast device. But usually, it’s just refreshing the communication between devices within the network by performing a sequential reboot on each of the involved devices (routers, Chromecasts, and casting sources). Let us know more; we look forward to your response.
Thanks,
Kimy

The Chromecast is using the Ethernet Adapter.
All devices attempting to cast are mixed, with some on ethernet and some on wireless. Some of them are virtual machines coming off the same host, some are laptops, some are full desktops. The only 2 Devices that connect with no problem are Virtual machines, but other VM's from the same host fail to cast. We already rebooted the Chromecast several times to see if that would help. I made sure Firewall wise there were no rules or anything blocking traffic to and from the Chromecast. I also took antivirus out of the equation for a few devices facing the problem.
Chrome has been updated... Not sure what else to look for here

Hello NovaKlone,
Thanks for the reply. Based on your description, it seems that you have a more complex network setup than a simple home Wi-Fi that a Chromecast device is intended to work with. We’ve proven that your Chromecast device is working as intended, as you were able to cast. You may need to check your network and device’s settings and/or configurations. Let us know if you have other concerns with your actual Chromecast device.
