I'm the last few days, for some reason my Chromecast is not connecting to the internet even though it shows connected to my WiFi with an excellent signal. If I switch it on and off it will connect for about 30 seconds before dropping off.
I have done all the basics, reboot the Chromecast and my router etc.
It is plugged into my TV using OS 12.
It has randomised MAC address but that's always been the case.

Thanks for replying and your advice. I managed to work it what the issue was. I love into the VM app and checked up the device connected to my network and find that for some reason, I'm not sure how, the Chromecast device was paused which meant it wasn't connecting. Once I made it active again all was sorted.

Hey there jettyboy66,
I apologize for the late response, thank you for being patient! Were you able to fix that connection issue? If not, I'd be happy to help out, as these networking problems can be tricky with so many factors involved. The first thing to do would be following the steps in this article. Go ahead and give those a try, and see if that helps at all. If not, we can try a few more things.
I look forward to your response, and if you have any other questions or concerns for me, please let me know!
Best regards,
Jeran

Apologies for not replying, the notifications dropped in to my spam folder. My Chromecast is still not connecting to my WiFi. I have spoken with someone over the phone about it but with no resolution only that an engineer will be looking into it, again. I have tried all options that I can think of including resets of the router and Chromecast. Any further advice would be appreciated.

Hey there jettyboy66,
No problem at all; we can look at a few more things since connection issues have a lot of factors. Would you be able to let us know what you've already tried? That way, we don't suggest duplicating steps. For now, make sure your Chromecast's firmware is up-to-date. Then, forget the Wi-Fi network and reconnect to it. If the problem persists, try connecting to another network temporarily, such as a Mobile Hotspot, to see if the same problems occur across networks.
Best regards,
Jeran
