Chromecast Voice Search Constantly Asking for Setup

I have a new Chromecast and everything was working great, but just recently every time I hit the Voice Search button I say my command and it responds with "Finish setup to"...(blah, blah, blah).

 

OK? That's weird, I thought I already did that, but oh well. I go ahead and 'allow' everything and finish the setup and it goes back to home, but it's just stuck in this loop. The next time I hit the Voice Search button it just says the same thing, over and over again.

 

I've rebooted the Chromecast multiple times and the problem remains.

 

Help?

Hi KyleFN,

 

Thanks for reaching out. If you have already set up the Google Assistant using the Google Assistant button on your Voice Remote but the issue still persists, please reset your Chromecast Voice Remote and Chromecast then set it up and try again.

I've already done that ... twice ... no effect on the problem.
