Vizio TV updated its software and now says “The Google Ambient Mode screensaver is no longer supported by Chromecast built-in”. Is this just a Vizio thing or does this apply to all TVs with Chromecast built-in?

Hi putatohed,
Thanks for posting. The changes in the features and settings of the TV that has a Chromecast built-in are decided by the manufacturers. I would suggest that you reach out to Vizio for further help. You may contact them here.
Thanks,
Jennifer

You find a solution for this? I really enjoyed this feature and there is no info anywhere on anything about this for my vizio tv. STRANGELY i have tei or this same vizio tv and only ONE of them has this message saying its not available anymore. The other one still works!?

Hey there Kylejsjsjsjsjjd,
With Chromecast built-in being an open-source software, brands are able to modify the software as they please. It's a possibly Vizio may have deactivated the feature in a new update of theirs. Just like Jennifer suggested, you would need to reach out to Vizio Support to see if this was intentional or not.
I wish we could have been a bit more helpful, but if you had any other questions or concerns, I'd be happy to address them.
Best regards,
Jeran
