Chromecast keep stopping to send audio signal to my avr.

Hi. 

I am facing an weird issue with my Chromecast hd with google tv. Just bought it with a soul purpose of cast Spotify /deezer to my Yamaha 1840 receiver . My intention was to cast my audio to Chromecast and send that to my avr. While keeping the tv off. 

I called the problem weird cause as long as I keep the tv on..the Spotify cast happens flawlessly..once I turn the tv on..the tv off. The audio becomes choppy.. the avr shows "decoder off" every 1 ..2.. minute for a couple of seconds.

Is there a fix.. am I not suppose to use a Chromecast for audio only?

Hello Rudro,

Thanks for reaching out. I'm afraid the set up that you would like to do isn't supported. The TV where the Chromecast with Google HD is connected to should always be on in order for it to work properly.
