Chromecast not casting

I did a factory reset on my Chromecast and rebooted my router and now I can't cast to my tv. Stadia is set up and my ambient is set up as I had it before but no casting. My Google home is linked to all my streaming services but my tv option does not show up in the cast option. Everything is connected to the same wifi so I'm not sure why it's not working. I'll mention I had a hard time reconnecting my Chromecast to my wifi so I had to factory reset it 4 times for it to work. It kept saying the device (Chromecast) could not be found but it was connected to the wifi

I've literally just had the same thing happen. Streaming from phone through Chromecast to a kogan tv this afternoon. Later tonight tried again and it says it can't connect to wifi. Tried factory reset and reconnect via the home app 3 times. No luck .... Help

I have the same issue.i think this is Google's way of forcing us to upgrade to the new Chromecast w Google tv built in. I can't get my ultra to cast anything from any app, including Google home and Google tv... The only thing that will cast is my pixel phone screen. Other than that, its bricked  I'm going to eat it and pay 50 bucks for a new one Lol

Thanks for reaching out and I'm sorry for the late response. 

 

Quick questions: what's the LED light status on your Chromecast? Are you getting any messages when casting from supported apps? Please make sure the apps you're using and the OS version of your mobile phone are updated. Also, rebooting your Wi-Fi router and plugging in the Chromecast into a different HDMI port on your TV might also help.
