Everything is set up correctly. WiFi connected perfectly fine.
WiFi works with every single device to a T.
Just like I said in the title, the Chromecast only works sometimes. Like, only when it "feels" like working.
Sometimes I'll sit and refesh the app for an hour (and I'm not being dramatic) and it'll just all the sudden show my TVs name and allow me to cast, then other times it tells me there are no devices available.
Or I'll be watching a movie and then if the movie ends or I walk away while its paused, it'll disconnect and go back to the waiting screen (with all the photography pics) and I won't be able to find my TV on the Home app. It also doesnt let me try to re-set up the Chromecast. It'll just say no device found.
The only thing that seems to work is restarting the WiFi over and over and I cannot do that every single time I want to use my chromecast because there are other ppl using the WiFi with their devices and I can't disrupt their connection every single time I need to connect this thing. Ive had this for a little over 3 years, and ive NEVER had this issue until about 2 weeks ago.

Thanks for posting and for providing detailed information about your issue — it's a big help! To cover all the bases, could you try to connect the Chromecast into a different Wi-Fi network? Connecting it to a mobile hotspot to isolate the issue and rebooting your Chromecast and TV might also help.
If the issue persists, please perform a factory reset on your Chromecast.
