So recently my Chromecast has started to restart itself quite frequently. Sometimes, nothing happens for two hours, and then all of a sudden it restarts itself maybe five times in a row!! The G appears on the screen, and then Google TV and then it restarts itself again.
Just so you know, I have already done a factory reset. When I did that, and tried to set it up again, it took my over 90 minutes as when I turned it on, I got some messages in French, Dutch, Italian and Chinese, telling me to hold down the Back and Home buttons at the same time. Usually, after doing that it just restarted itself and I was prompted to do the same thing again. Sometimes though, I was able to progress to the step where I had to press the center command button (the big circle button), and then again it restarted itself.
I don't really want to take the chance to do a factory reset again if I'm going to have the same issue again. Me and my woman are in our paternity leave and cannot afford to have the device like this.
