Chromecast with Google TV does not have a dynamic refresh rate

Chromecast with Google TV does not have a dynamic refresh rate.

This is a big problem switching between 24 hz and 50 hz sources

I'm not sure if it will work on the Chromecast with google tv, but you can try:  For the Nvidia shield with chromecast built-in, there is an app called "refresh rate" that you can use to customize refresh rate for apps etc...  It's available for free in the Google Play Store

Mittsted, hope that helps. You may also try to go to the GTV settings and go to Display settings and check the options there.
