I cannot download any apps to my Google chromecast. I followed the steps in a similar thread until the point where I am supposed to install updates to each Google product individually but the Google Play store would not open so this can be completed.

I know how it feels when something isn’t working as it should, let’s get this resolved. A few things: Which country are you contacting us from? What steps have you tried so far? Try to clear the data and cache of Google Play services and the Google Play store under the settings in apps, then restart your Chromecast.
