Finding the MAC address in the chrome cast with google home

I recently purchased a Google Chromecast with Google TV in order for me to connect it to my Wi-Fi I need to find the MAC address I am having a hard time finding the MAC address how do I find it?

To add more information, I don’t have a widget/cog to choose from. I only get the shapes animations jumping around then it states couldn’t find the Wi-Fi. I need to add the MAC address to my router to connect this chrome device

Thanks for reaching out. If you have a Chromecast with Google TV, you will not be able to locate the MAC address during the initial setup. Please set up your Chromecast with Google TV using a different Wi-Fi network or hotspot. Afterwards, follow the steps below to locate the MAC address:

1. From the Google TV home page, go to Settings.
2. Select System.
3. Select About.
4. Select Status.
5. On the right side, you should find the MAC address.
