Can anyone help me? My Chromecast has stopped working when trying to cast from my iPhone (iOS 15.7). I have done a factory reset, deleted and reinstalled Google Home, deleted my home and restated but it still doesn’t work. I’m told it is connected within the Google Home App but then get a message saying ‘Something went wrong - Chromecast may be set up but we couldn’t communicate with it from your iPhone’. Any ideas? Many thanks for your help.

Hi Juliebubs,
That certainly hasn't been easy for you ― what Chromecast do you have there? Since you've already done the factory reset but still couldn't communicate with your iPhone, that means both are not able to meet with each other. What you need to do is to make sure that your cellular data is off during the setup, leaving only the WiFi on. Enable bluetooth. Enable local network access(Go to phone settings>Privacy>local network for Google Home>Disable then re-enable). Factory reset your Chromecast again then re-do setup.
If the above steps won't work, then try to connect your Chromecast to another phone's hotspot. You'll be needing 2 mobile devices for this to work.
Let me know how it goes.
Best,
Dan

Hi again,
I wanted to follow up and see if you are still in need of any help. Have you had the chance to try the suggestion above? If yes, how is it?

Dan
