Can I use google cromecast with google cromecast remote

Hey there TM11,

I apologize about the late response, thank you for being patient! I know you may have already found the answer by now, but the Chromecast Voice Remote only works with the newest Chromecast with Google TV, and the remote will not work with any other Chromecast device.
