I am not able to use my google remote mic to search or enter email and passwords in apps like Disney

I am not able to use my google chrome remote mic to search or enter email and passwords in apps like Disney. The google search works when I push the google assistant button, but I don't know how to search, enter info in separate apps like Disney, Crave etc.

I am also not able to get my Mic to work for my Chromcast remote.

Since this thread hasn't had activity in a while, we're going to close it to keep content fresh. 

 

We hope you were able to get the help you need but if you're still having trouble, please give these steps a try: please try to replace all batteries at the same time. Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not use lithium-ion or any other batteries with rated voltage above 1.5 V. If the issue persists, factory reset your Chromecast Voice Remote and Chromecast device.

 

If the issue persists, feel free to submit another post, and provide as many details as possible so that others can lend a hand. Hope this helps!
