My Chromcast Dongle remote has stopped working

I have no idea if I have a 1st gen or what… but I have two of the dongle things that came with remotes. The one in my small persons playroom has stopped working… all I can do with it is turn the TV on and off… I’ve done the turn the dongle on and off by unplugging it thing, I’ve replaced batteries on the remote, I’ve take batteries out and put back in holding the home button. and all it got me was being able to use the power button.

I was controlling the dongle via my phone, but now that’s not working either, saying I need an update for the dongle but I can’t get to the dongle settings because it won’t respond. To either remote of my phone.

please help me

I am having the same issue. I can use the power button and the volume button. But nothing else works

Quick questions: what's the LED status on your Chromecast with Google TV and Chromecast Voice Remote? When did the issue start? If you already tried resetting the Voice Remote, please factory reset your Chromecast with Google TV. Here's a guide: How to factory reset your Chromecast.
