I just purchased and set up my new chromecast on an Insignia TV. It is linked to my Google home and I have watched a few shows on Peacock app, Hulu etc. Twice now Google home has dropped connectivity with it (I can’t control it - says it’s offline). The TV continued to stream shows. I reset the chromecast using settings and it became accessible in Google home again. It’s night 2 and again the chromecast is showing offline in Google home. When I turned the TV on, this time it would not connect to any of the programs. It just said, something happened, retry. I tried multiple apps and gave up. I’m settings it says my network connection is excellent so wifi is not the issue. I have other devices in the room where the tv is and they don’t have an issue. Any thoughts? Or did I just waste my money?

Hi deeaski,
Thanks for reaching out and for being a step ahead of us. Let's sort this out.
What type of Chromecast device do you have? What's the LED status on your Chromecast? To cover all the bases, please try the additional steps listed below and let me know how it goes.
Thanks,
Jennifer
