Restricted mode while casting to YouTube

Hi,

Whenever I try to play slightly more non-child like videos on YouTube by casting from my iPhone it comes up with a message stating restricted mode is on - this is definitely an issue with the casting as the videos play perfectly fine through my phone.

I’ve changed and resetted the settings on my google home app to ensure there’s no restrictions on there however the issue still persists. There also doesn’t seem to be settings specific to my tv on the app so I’ve been doing it in a general way. Any advice?

Thought I’d reply with some advice seeing as I’ve seen numerous people with the same issue - figured out that the only way of accessing the options displayed was through using the remote via the app and for some reason there was a restricted mode there that wasn’t on either my google home or on my YouTube account - might be helpful to other people too as I’d tried everything else recommended and this turned out to be a

Thanks so much for sharing this! I'd been tearing my hair out with all the advice pointing to non-existing options in the Home app...

Honestly same, I was going insane looking for a remote to control the menu - hope your all sorted now!
