Still cant switch accounts ccwgtv

For a couple months now since youtube updated I am no longer able to switch between my two accounts. I only have the option to choose my main one or delete my alternate one. This is apparently fixed with profile switching but it appears I still do not have the ability to do this. How is this fixed and why were the updates pushed out in this order?

have you tried a factory reset of the device to see if that clears up the issue?

I have not as I was hoping someone had an easier answer here first. It's just a pain to resign in to everything and download the apps  but if it's the only way then I'll have to try it.

Sadly sometimes it's the best way to proceed.  Luckily with the CCwGTV it only takes a few minutes, and should solve the profile issue !

I will give it a try today and report back.

Well I factory reset and still only have the option to delete the second account can't switch to it. So now I have to set everything up and still have the same problem.

That makes no sense at all... I just tried it on mine and it works fine.  Let's step back a moment.  When you added the second account, did you follow these instructions exactly (including signing into the account?)  Try this :

 

First, remove the other accounts  (I did this from Settings > Accounts)

After removing them, restart the device (Settings > System > Restart)

Wait for it to boot up completely

Chromecast prompts you with a new feature: Profile TVs and asks if I want to add a new account

Follow the instructions (put email, password, two factor authentication)

I factory reset so yes both account were removed. I signed into my main account, updated the apps from play store then added second account. Yes I am signing in correctly to both, I know how to do that that. 

EDIT: After pulling the power and starting up again I now have the ability. I don't know what that was so difficulty. Thanks fo ryou help though.

Wow.. well that's great news because I was stumped on why it wasn't working.  Glad to hear it's going for you now!  I will add that to my troubleshooting suggestions for this issue!

It was probably the updates to all the stock apps after the factory reset. A normal restart may have worked I was just annoyed at going through everything.
