Stream the whole desktop content

Hello,

How can I mirror the whole desktop content outside my Edge or Chrome Browser via my Chromecast 3rd Generation on a TV screen?

Whose apps are required or maybe settings ?

Use the "Cast your computer screen" directions from this Help Center page:

Note: this does not work with all content from all pages.

The help page you mentioned states there should be a cast to desktop option which in my case there is not. Nor is there a file option. If I set cast to screen as it has been stated is the same as cast to desktop on other threads on this forum chrome I gather reverts it to the default cast to tab everytime. So like above I cannot get anything but the webpage tab for some reason. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Hello dear Jeran. No, my questions was not yet successfully replied. I can only cast my separate tabs from the EDGE browser but never anything outside the browser. Thanks.

In other words, I never get this option "Cast desktop"

Hey there marvmn,

Are you able to check under the Sources drop-down to see if you have Cast screen available? Here is what it looks like when I load up Microsoft Edge. 

Cast screen should act the same as Cast desktop, and I've let the team who writes the Help Center articles know that the wording needs to be updated.
