URGENT!!!! LIVE CBS NEWS VIDEO STOPPED WORKING WITH CHROMECAST ULTRA

when using voice command " Hey google, play CBS News" with a Google assistant speaker, I can instantly watch Live CBS News Video on my chromecast ultra connected TV , but now it has STOPPED WORKING, Instead, only Youtube version of the CBS News is played on TV with chromecast ultra plugged in,    how to fix this issue so that only Live CBS News video is played on Chromecast Ultra connected TV after using voice command" Hey google, play CBS News" with google assistant speaker? 

 

We have tried to fix this issue for 2 months,  NOTHING WORKED!!!!!

 

 

FACTORY RESET DONE ON CHROMECAST AND ON GOOGLE ASSISTANT SPEAKER, NOTHING WORKED, ROUTER POWER CYCLED, NOTHING WORKED,  WHAT IS THE SOLUTION??????  

DON'T CLOSE THIS THREAD, KEEP IT OPEN TILL IT IS FIXED!!!!

I solved mine yesterday by signing out and back in of my Paramount Plus account

I also appreciate all the details you've shared. Aside from CBS News Live, are there any other news channel that you noticed not working? I'd like you to try to check other news source, or try to play Netflix via command so we can further isolate the issue.

Hello, thanks for your repsponse,  

I have tested other apps with voice command including Netflix, Youtube,  it works fine, no problem,

looks like this is the only issue with CBS News,  and also, CBS Live news is the only news I like watching with chromecast, but sadly it is now having this issue ,

Thanks for checking. If the issue is isolated only on CBS News channels, we can try to reset your Google Nest speakers, however, this may or may not work since other video services are working. Have you had the chance to contact CBS about this?

Hey RG8,

 

Have you tried the suggested steps above? Is it only happening with CBS Live News? If your other apps are working like YouTube and Netflix, try coordinating with CBS Live support for additional help.

Yes, I tried everything. For months, I used the command Hey Google play CBS news to watch live news on CBS news. Now with the same command the display can only play recorded CBS news on Youtube

Hey RG8,

 

Thanks for the update. Are you using Google Home or Google Nest speakers or the Google Assistant on your phone? Also, have you tried manually casting CBS news to your Chromecast?

My similar problem has been solved by saying "stream cbs news live". I stumbled upon this yesterday. Play used to work.

Note that this is NOT a solution to missing videos in the "Good Morning" routine. Reuters is still broken.

A few days ago, this issue was suddenly gone, so since then, I have been able to watch CBS Live news video by saying" Hey google, play CBS News" with my google assistant speaker,

Thanks, Princess, but CBS [All Access] and Paramount+ have nothing to do with this thread.

I am grateful that CBS News is working but disappointed that Reuters is not.

Sorry to hear that you're Reuters news is not working. I'd like to ask a few questions regarding this; is Reuters working before when you command your speakers or phone to play it? What's the exact command and response every time you try to play news from Reuters?

Reuters Live TV News is still broken, It used to be a video portion of the built-in "Good Morning" routine and would also play in response to a request for Reuters TV News Now.

Now instead I get either audio only from several days ago or  "Sorry, you're up to date" and then nothing.

Since their mobile app and their website work fine, it seems to be a Google problem, not a Reuters problem.

Could you try to command your Google Assistant from your phone to play Reuters on TV and see if you will get the same results?

Sorry for the late response.

 

Since it shows the same results, it looks like there's an issue with Google Assistant as it is not working both on phone and your Google Nest speakers. I would suggest you to try other phone and use Google Assistant to rule out the issue. Also, try other stations to see if it will give you the same results.
