What happened?

Two days ago my chromcast stopped working. Tried unplugging everything and starting over but hasn't worked.

Tried a reboot, but that didn't work. Tried factory reset and that didn't work either. 

I am going bonkers trying to find the issue.

HELP!!!

Hey there Lrgmarg,

I apologize about the late response on this thread, thank you for being patient! Were you able to fix that Chromecast issue? If not, I'd be happy to help out, as I know these issues can be tricky to troubleshoot on your own. Let me just ask you some questions about what's happening:

  • What color is the LED light on the Chromecast?
  • Is the Chromecast powered by the wall outlet, or a USB connected to the TV?
  • Does this Chromecast work when plugged into a different TV?
  • Can you see the Chromecast in the Google Home app?
  • What other troubleshooting steps have you already tried?
