hey
I have a very specific question about my entertainment system.
I often control my Chromecast tv via Google Nest by voice control or directly via the android smartphone from google chrome.
Unfortunately I cannot control the volume of all streams via voice control or via the volume of my android.
The sound is sent from the chromcast, via phillips hue sync box to my samsung tv, from there via toslink to my logitec audio system with Dolby Digital plus.
However, I can control the volume directly from the audio system with my Chomecast tv remote control. So I think it can also be possible via the other channels.
I look forward to an answer, or possibly a support contact at google.
Thanks in advance.
Ueli

Hi ueli,
Thanks for reaching out. To confirm, are you unable to control the volume via voice when streaming or casting a video content to your Chromecast with Google TV? What voice commands are you using to control the volume?
I'll look forward to your response.

Jennifer

Hello ueli,
I'm sorry for the late response. Could you please go to the Google TV settings and check the option on how to control the volume? If it's set to CEC or IR, change it to Chromecast Volume. See the steps below:
Thanks,
Jennifer

Hejj Jennifer
the option was on IR controle direkt to logitec sondsystem. I have change it to CEC over my tv to logitec. it works with my remote, but not with the voice assistent. The results is the same as before.
Thanks Ueli

Hi ueli,
Thanks for getting back to us. Could you try to choose the option Chromecast Volume and test?

Hejj Jennifer
Im cant finde the option Chromecast Volume in the settings from my Chromecast TV. My Google Voice Assistant Answers me: controle the vloume on your Remote, you can finde more options on your tv or in the chromecast settings.
I have a second TV, and the volume control works on it via voice control. I also have a chromcast tv and a google home smart speaker there
Thans for your feedback.

Hello ueli,
Thanks for trying. Could you try to plug in the Chromecast in your second TV and check if the same issue will persist? Factory resetting your Chromecast with Google TV might also help. Here's a guide: How to factory reset your Chromecast.

hello Jennifer
My problem persists. I have now ordered a new audio system so I can connect the chromecast directly. I hope that works.
Thank you for your help
