the google Chromecast was working fine with 5GHz channel 36 till 100, when i moved my router to channel 149, I don't see the beacon of my 5 GHz ssid. Does the chipset in the Chromecast does not support unii3 channel band
P.S rest of my devices even firestick is working fine with channel 149

Thanks for reaching out. Could you please tell us where you purchased your Chromecast? Also, please provide the type of Chromecast that you have.
Note: Network specification varies per country the Chromecast is manufactured for. It is dependent on the country's regulations for allowable channels and frequencies.

The Chromecast with google TV I bought is from UK with GA01919-GB. I am using it in UK. Tried connecting to a unii3 channel allowed in uk but it did not connect

Thanks for getting back to us. It's possible that the 5 GHz Wi-Fi connection (Wi-Fi channel 149 or higher) isn’t supported in some countries like UK on Chromecast device. I'd suggest you send feedback about this using the Google Home app. Every bit of feedback helps a ton. Here's how.
