interference while connecting 2 Chromecast in the same network

Hi,

I have connected 2 Chromecast with 2 independent TV, in the same network.
initially, all connections were good but from now somedays I am facing connectivity issues.

When I cast the screen to one Chromecast after some time it will cast to another Chromecast as well. I am facing this problem for the past 2 months due to which there is a lot of delay in productivity.

I have created a separate room for individual Chromecast but no use, the same issue persists.

Please suggest on this.

Thank you.

Hi PratikRaut,

That certainly hasn't been easy for you ― let’s check this out.

What kind of Chromecast do you use on each of your TV? What device are you casting from? When you say when casting from one Chromecast, it will cast to both your TV’s?

Could you change the name of both your Chromecast from your Google Home app and reproduce the casting concern.

Keep me posted.

Regards,

Dan

Hi Dan_A

Thank you for responding.  I am using Google Chromecast 3 in the office on the same network for screen share.
Most of the time we cast screens from laptops (windows 10/windows 11/ubuntu). I already change the names, then I created separate rooms still the issue is same.
Now the problem is if I cast my screen via laptop to TV 1 which is connected to Chromecast 1, sometimes it will be disconnected and connects to TV2 where Chromecast 2 is plugged .
Please suggest on this.

Hello again,

Apologies for the late reply.

May I have a short video reproducing this concern of yours. We need to narrow things down because that should not happen even if they are on the same WiFi network since each Chromecast and TV have their own names.

I'll be waiting.

Thanks,

Dan

Hey folks,

PratikRaut, how's it going? Still need help? If yes, please reboot both your Chromecast devices and try to plug it in on a different HDMI port on your TV. If the issue persists, factory reset your Chromecast devices and set it up again.

Thanks for the help here, Dan.

Thanks,

Jennifer
