i just moved and changed internet providers (now T-Mobile). Unable to successfully set up with the Google Home App. I get to the screen "Plug in your device". Upon clicking NEXT, it asks "What are you setting up?" I choose the 'Chromecast / Google TV'' option. It then takes me back to "Plug in your device". Endless loop. Help please.
I don't know when Gen of Chromecast I have.

Hi there,
Thanks for reaching out to the Chromecast Community and I'm sorry for the late response.
Thanks for the help here, davidking. I appreciate it!
qcity2, I hope you were able to get the help you need, but don't hesitate to reach back if you're still having trouble setting up your device.
ghastie, I'm sorry to hear that you're also experiencing the same issue as the original poster but I appreciate you trying the steps provided by davidking.
You may also try to reboot your new router and Chromecast, then manually connect to the Chromecast SSID. Here's how: Go to the phone Settings > Open Wi-Fi and connect to the Chromecast SSID (Example: Chromecast1234, Living Room TV, Bedroom TV, etc.) > Go to the Google Home app and try to set up again.
If the issue persists, please connect to a mobile hotspot so we can isolate the issue.
Thanks,
Jennifer

Factory reset your Chromecast, then then set it up again using your new Wi-Fi network and password. If you're using Chromecast with Google TV, follow these setup steps instead.
