Unmount Outdoor camera IQ

I’m trying to unmount the nest outdoor camera to  scan the QR code and connect to my nest app. I have tried using a 2.5 mm hex tool but the camera will not unmount.

When you insert the hex key, are you then turning counterclockwise?
