Cannot connect with PBS Video app

I have downloaded and installed the PBS Video app. I have a subscription to PBS Passport, and it is activated. However, the app doesn't recognize the subscription. The TV is a Samsung 55", with a Tizen operating system, which doesn't allow the installation of the PBS app in the TV's menu, hence my trying to activate the app on my Chromecast. I can access the non-Passport programs, but those are not plentiful. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

My apologies to you and Jeran, Muddi.  I did try to reply to his check-up, but the email bounced.  I should have thought to get back to the forum.  My Bad,

 PBS recognizes that I have a new email address, but insists that the old email address (now not valid) is also my user id and cannot be changed without deleting the account and re-creating it.  I have now resolved the problem by buying a Roku box, and connecting it to the TV.  I also figured out that if I want to log in to PBS, I have to use my old email address as the userid, and then I can activate Passport, and I'm good to go.

My PBS app works fine with my Passport subscription.

It sounds like you have an account/password issue.  I know this is basic but make 100% sure you are using the account and password set by PBS.  While the email is the same as my Google Account, the password is totally different.  Check with the station you subscribe through.  They can probably reset your Passport password for you.
