Hey Jeran,
Thank you for your reply.
. My ChromeCast model is:
GA00439-US
https://www.amazon.com/Google-GA00439-US-Chromecast-3rd-Generation/dp/B015UKRNGS but purchased at Best Buy long time ago.
. It is white.
. Until Feb 22 2023 I was able to cast from the French TV networks such as France 2 or TF1 from my laptops onto the screen. I was also able to cast occasionaly from my iPad onto the TV which is an old Sony.
. On the laptops I have one in Windows 10 Prof 64 bits, one Windows 11 Prof (They are all Lenovo one hooked onto a docking station, another Windows 11 stand alone, and an old Dell laptop upgraded from Windows 7 Home to Windows 10 this one no longer eligible to be upgraded onto Windows 11. All three of them and the iPad can cast from the sites onto the TV with the Chromecast named Dining Room.
. From Feb 22 2023 this Chromecast device on my Home application of the Android cell phone it is grayed out and stayed at the Inactive state, I am no longer able to activate it again to use the 'Cast' function as before.
. On the other hand a new ChromeCast device FIOS-Living-Room is active but works only for YouTube videos and nothing else as it was marked 'Only for specific sites'.
I tried Microsoft Wireless Adapter yesterday but the experience was worse.
Thank you again and hope that the information provided will be of great help.
Wish that this community network messaging have besides the text formatting gives us instead of a link of emoj we can attach a screen snapshot or a small sized picture.
Best regards
Hien
