Prime Video is Performing Terribly

I'm encountering the exact same problem as outlined here: https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Chromecast/Prime-Video-is-Performing-Terribly-Long-Buffer-Tim...

> When trying to use the Prime Video app on my Google TV (4K Model), and selecting the show or movie I want to watch, the loading wheel will spin for almost 2 minutes before loading the content, and it will constantly have to buffer every few minutes or so, each time for about 20-30 seconds.

This only seems to be a problem for new shows (4K?). Old shows don't give any problems.

I've reset the Google TV, I've uninstalled the app, reset cache, cleared app data, you name it. I've even bought an USB ethernet adapter so I could hook the Google TV up via wired Internet to ensure Wifi isn't the problem.

I don't have any of these issues with prime on my other devices.

Hey there jaspersiepkes,

I can imagine waiting that long for a show to load is pretty frustrating, so I'd be happy to help out where I can. First, make sure your Chromecast's firmware is up-to-date. Then, check to see if any other app is having the same issues with 4K video. If the issue seems isolated to Prime Video, you may need to reach out to Prime Video Support to see if there are any outages on their end.

I look forward to your response, and if you have any other questions or concerns for me, please let me know.

Best regards,
Jeran
