Baseboard heat only with air handler

Good morning,  I have a nest learning thermostat.  Last year we had the propane boiler set to heat the house in the winter and the 5 ton air handler set to cool the house in the summer.  For some reason this winter the baseboard heat isn't working without the air handler running.  It's frustrating and it isn't kicking heat out of my baseboards unless the fan from the indoor unit kicking on.  I just want my baseboards to heat my house and not have the unit kick on. Any help is appreciated thank you

Hi Steve1874,

Thanks for reaching out — I'm sorry for the trouble this may have caused you. To confirm, in what country are you located? Do you receive any messages or codes on your thermostat or in the app?

Checking your thermostat's Energy History will tell you what your thermostat was doing previously. Also, gather and share with us your thermostat's power reading.

Check out the guide below:

Nest Learning Thermostat and Nest Thermostat E:

  1. Go to your thermostat Quick View menu.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Look for Technical Info.
  4. Select Power.

Best,

Jenelyn
