When will it be possible to link Apple Music as my default music player, on google home? At the moment the only options are You Tube Premium or Spotify? I am based in the Republic of Ireland.
Seemed to be ages ago when it was coming soon……?

I would assume when Apple allows it. I believe in the US you can set it as default music player so it would make sense that it is coming soon. Different countries and differing IP laws cause for some troubles. I know some features we've had for a while in the US take a while to get in some European countries. I've seen quite a few posts on the Google Home subreddit that features "finally came" to places like the Netherlands and Sweden. Just sorta funny to think it would take Google and Apple so long to bring Apple music to google home in a country Apple likes to call a second home.
Edit: Just looked it up Apple music is only available right now as a default music player in the United States, United Kingdom, Japan, Germany, and France.

Thanks AlexM, appreciate the response. It is funny alright - hopefully it’ll come soon. We love google home and Apple Music, but we’re using Spotify only because it works with the voice controls. Once Apple Music becomes the default, we’ll switch straight over. 1st world problems; still remember recording tapes from the radio - how far we have come!
