Hello,
Can I stream the audio of a YouTube video to Nest Audio speakers through the Google Home app without Blueooth in a similar way to Sonos?
The reason I ask is because I play the same YouTube lullaby for my kids every night from YouTube. It helps them sleep. Currently, I have two Apple iPads connected to two separate Bluetooth speakers and it works okay but I am tired of the speakers needing to be plugged in nearby, or randomly losing Bluetooth connections and the annoyance of always having iPads sitting in the kids' rooms.
I know that it is possible to use Sonos with YouTube Music and "supposedly" YouTube audio can be streamed in a similar way. However, I already have a Google Home with several cameras, a thermostat, and Wi-Fi points. I have read that you can stream YouTube MUSIC but the responses about audio from YouTube videos is more mixed.
Is this possible? If so, how reliable is it? I don't care if the speakers are out of sync as the speakers are in two separate rooms in two separate parts of the house.

Using the Nest Hub's touchscreen
Swipe or touch your Nest Hub's screen.
Tap Media in the bar at the top.
Tap YouTube and browse the recommended videos.
Once you're happy with one, tap it to play it on your Nest Hub.

Peter

A Google speaker can only play the audio from non video sources (YouTube Music Spotify...). Google displays will play video as well as audio only sources.

I just bought 2 Nest Hubs (not the Hub Max) and I can access YouTube music and it plays the videos. I don't know for how long but I saved a lot of money buying them yesterday. I guess they are usually 100 bucks but right now they are 50 bucks and if you buy 2 you end up paying 45 bucks each. At least that is what the price was at the Google store and at Best Buy locally in my area.

Hi folks,
@kiltguy2112, @petergroft, @MikeClark, @JohnOrion, thanks for the help
@ AykonSilvers, in addition to the above answers, you cannot directly cast videos from YouTube app to your Nest Audio or through voice commands since videos and audios cannot be separated. There is an exclusive feature for android phones where you can cast to your Nest Audio via the Google Home app, follow the steps below:

@Dan_AYou said that in addition to this "You cannot..." did you mean "You can" ?
Also, as a clarification point, if I buy ONE Google Nest Hub and two separate speakers, and put one in each room. Can I use this single Google Nest Hub to power these two separate speakers without bluetooth (i.e. using Wifi only)?

Hi AykonSilvers,
Apologies! What I meant was it cannot cast YouTube videos from your YouTube app to your Nest Audio because the format of video and audio cannot be separated. Casting will work by using the Google Home app with the steps above.
In regards to your second question, you can have multiple Nest displays/speakers active, as long as they are on the same Wi-Fi network and on the same account. You can control them and its features the way you want them to. An example is to have them on a speaker group. You can give command to one device to play music and have the song play on your speaker group. Check out this guide for more detailed info.
Hope this helps.

Dan

Thanks to the community and @Dan_A for your help. It sounds like my best bet is to buy a Google Home Hub and two speakers. I am recovering from Christmas but will try this when I have funds available . Feel free to close
